Connect and Serve

Volunteer Opportunities

Throughout the year there are a variety of ways to volunteer to help our community and make it a better place to live. We have partnerships with Redding Social Services, Georgetown Community Association, Guiding Eyes for the Blind and Healing Hope Mission International, along with other organizations

Volunteer opportunities are announced a few weeks prior to the events.

Day of Service

All congregation members are encouraged to spend a few hours helping make the community a better place to live and worship is shortened on that day to allow people to partake in a variety of service projects.

Volunteer Within the Church

Within the church, every week we rely on a variety of volunteers to help make worship go smoothly from readers to communion assistants to coffee hour hosts. A worship leader sign-up sheet is in the community room and the pastor or other worship leaders are more than happy to help train anyone who wants to volunteer.

Social Events

There are also a variety of social events each year that rely on volunteers to help make them run, these include Georgetown Day, the Portland Ave Block Party, Pasta Dinner and Mardi Gras.
